Jared Thomas has made the move that many of his clients are preparing to make moving from the Coast to the Nicola Valley in 2017 to become the Voice of the team’s local Junior A franchise - the Merritt Centennials. Fans can still hear his voice on the airwaves of the local radio station Q101.1, and he’s brought that same passion for hockey to the real estate market.
There are a lot of parallels between hockey and real estate: each has its own special lingo, each has its own set of rules, and each can lead to penalties if you don’t know the rules. Jared helps you cut through the realtor jargon and hits you with the meaning behind the words in a way you can understand, he helps you learn the rules and guidelines so you have control over your buying and selling experience, and he helps you avoid mistakes that may lead to trouble down the road.

Preparation
When gearing up to call a game, you need to have information at your disposal. Who the top players are, what are the latest stats, and you need to pass this on to the fan. When gearing up to make the biggest purchase or sale of your life you want to be armed with information. What properties will suit your needs? What are the comparables? What is the process? I give you the information you need to make an informed decision and get the most out of your transaction.
Communication
When calling a game, one thing you can never say enough is the score. What’s the progress? Has there been an update? I believe that the same applies to real estate. If an offer has been accepted or countered, if an inspection has been booked, if a problem arises you can expect a phone call or text promptly.
Relationships
One of the greatest byproducts of meeting so many people in both hockey and real estate is the relationships you build along the way. I believe that each relationship starts with respect, builds with communication, and leads to trust. I want clients that aren’t just happy with the transaction, but are happy with their purchase and decision, and that means doing everything I can to make sure your standards are met
Family
Since moving to the Nicola Valley my life has taken some meaningful steps forward. Marrying my long time girlfriend Hilary in 2019, and welcoming my son Oscar into the world in the Fall of 2020. I know that families are your world, and home can be made wherever your family is. I look forward to helping your family find their new home or move on to your next adventure.
